We are committed to providing necessary assistance to passengers who need to carry and use a Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC) during air travel.
This service is available only on flights operated by China Eastern Airlines or Shanghai Airlines and bearing China Eastern or Shanghai Airlines flight numbers.

Original Certificate of Diagnosis
The Certificate of Diagnosis must be issued by a physician from a Grade II (or above) hospital in China (or an equivalent clinic, medical center, or hospital overseas) and bear the official stamp of the issuing medical institution.
For certificates issued overseas, the physician’s signature is sufficient.
In addition to the Certificate of Diagnosis submitted during the application, passengers must present a medical certificate issued within 10 days prior to the date of travel (excluding the departure date) confirming that the passenger requires continuous use of a POC and is fit to travel by air.
Passengers are advised to arrive at the departure airport and complete check-in procedures at least 120 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.

Batteries carried onboard must comply with the airline’s lithium battery transportation regulations regarding capacity, quantity, and packaging.
Passengers requiring continuous use of a POC during the flight are not permitted to sit in exit row seats.
Passengers planning to use a POC onboard must provide a valid medical certificate in accordance with the relevant requirements.
If the captain determines that the operation of a POC may interfere with the safe operation of the aircraft, you must immediately turn off the device.
Passengers must carry sufficient batteries to power the device for the entire journey (including stopovers, transfers, and ground delays) plus an additional 3 hours.
China Eastern Airlines operates a limited number of aircraft equipped with seat power supplies, and availability cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, onboard power supply is not assured.
The airline assumes no responsibility for the operation, functionality, or availability of the POC device carried by the passenger.
If the application is not completed in time or the device is not certified by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the device may not be used during critical phases of flight such as taxiing, takeoff, descent, or landing, and the passenger will not be permitted to sit in an exit row.
China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines will review the application based on the scheduled departure date and contact the applicant between 09:00 and 19:00 daily. Please keep your phone accessible after submitting the application. If you do not receive a confirmation call or message within 4 hours (excluding non-working hours), please resubmit your request or contact 95530.
Submission of the online application indicates that China Eastern Airlines has received your request; however, it does not constitute approval. Your requested flight may not be available due to service limits, seat availability, or airport operational constraints. We will contact you to offer alternative flight or date options.
